York SCORE Success Breakfast
Hear Homegrown Entrepreneurs’ Success Stories
Join the York business community as it celebrates successful small businesses at the York SCORE Success Story Breakfast.
The fundraiser begins at 8:00 AM, Thursday, September 4, in the Heritage Hills Resort Windows Ballroom, 2700 Mt. Rose Ave, York, PA 17402.
You’ll meet our featured presenter, Sarah Lanphier, who launched Nuts About Granola with her mother in 2008. Sarah will reveal ways to Overcome Obstacles to Obtain Opportunities. Nuts About Granola has been featured as the “Snack of the Day” on the Rachael Ray Show and the company’s product was in gift bags for the 31st Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards. Recently the company opened a manufacturing facility in York. You’ll want to hear firsthand from this inspiring entrepreneur whose story is unfolding right here in our community.
You’ll see York SCORE honor Chef Tim, owner of Chef Tim Foods and winner of York College-Central Pennsylvania Business Journal’s Shark Bait competition, and John Lewis, president of the fast-growing DOCEO Office Solutions and York County Economic Alliance 2014 Small Business of the Year.
SCORE district director, Bob Fedor, and the national board chair of SCORE, Jerry Glenn, will also join the celebration.
SCORE, a volunteer organization, is a resource partner with the Small Business Administration and the Shippensburg University Small Business Development Center. However, the primary support for York SCORE’s administrative and promotional expenses comes from local donors who understand that we’re all stakeholders in York County’s economic wellness.
Proceeds from the Success Story Breakfast will help SCORE reach, mentor and teach you and your neighbors who dream of starting a new business or are ready to take their current enterprise to the next level.
Register and reserve one ticket for $25, or a table for six for $120, or make a donation.

There are many myths associated with these markets, but there are also many rewards! If you are a successful, well organized business, we can provide insight on how to succeed in the government marketplace. The Federal government buys over $450 billion of goods and services every year and State/local governments buy billions more. Should you participate? Attend this seminar and learn the ins and outs of selling to governments, and if selling to them is right for your business.
